Solar Community Kit

Our solar community kit provides students with an opportunity to explore electrical careers alongside basic city planning. Kits allow students to make model buildings to scale, then add electric lights through the use of LEDs and a solar panel.

Cardboard bases (8.5×11″, quantity 2)
Cardstock building templates (8.5×11″, 4 pages)
Wire cutter/stripper tool (quantity 1)
Wire (red and black, 2′ each)
Wire nuts (22-16AWG, quantity 12)
Light-emitting diodes [LEDs] (12V 5mm, quantity 6)
Solar panel (5V 30-60mA)
